Will the use of polyfilter prevent the ammonia feeding the bacteria. I only use RO now for changes. I'll do a water change tomorrow normally it's 25% I want to stock but afraid until the tank settles

WebNov 1, 2002 · Polyfilter is excellent stuff. I use it in place of carbon. Unless you can afford to change the polyfilter everyday, on the long run, protein skimmer are cheaper to use.
