They hunt at night and stay safe from predators because of their ability to see in the dark. In fact, for these animals which are also called nocturnal animals, their vision is better at night as compared to the day. WebHedgehogs are nocturnal animals, so their night vision is slightly better than their daytime vision. Their overall vision, however, is actually very poor, so they don’t see well in the dark or the light. Basically, they can see the outlines of some objects like trees and their color palette is limited to shades of brown and cream.
