WebChunking breaks up long strings of information into units or chunks. The resulting chunks are easier to commit to working memory than a longer and uninterrupted string of information. Chunking appears to work across all mediums including but not limited to: text, sounds, pictures, and videos. WebThe chunking is a means of relating to the limits of the number of processes we can handle simultaneously without cognitive decline. It is about 3 processes. Hence why phone numbers come in 3 chunks. Chunking is effective, but perhaps better is constructing a narrative for a sequence.
